clear communications is Russell Thomson and Peter Gray. Between them, they have extensive experience in many forms of communication. Each brings their unique talents to provide clients with a high standard of editing and proofreading.  
Russell Russell's experience includes: in-house editor and proofreader, Scholastic Australia (2002–06); subeditor, POL Publications (2007-08); and editor for ABC Books (2008). He has been project editor for several publishers, including Global Publishing, New Holland, Laguna Bay, Little Hare Books, and has proofread over 40 titles for Random House. His early background includes work as Publicity Officer for ABC TV and radio. After many years in the performing arts as both actor and manager in Queensland, NSW and Victoria, he worked in corporate communications in local government.

Russell holds a Diploma in Book Editing and Publishing from Macleay College (2001). He is a member of the Society of Editors (NSW) and assisted with the management of the society’s professional development training for several years.

Peter

Peter currently works as a freelance editor for a range of clients. He has fifteen years experience as an ESL teacher and is particularly skilled at working with manuscripts written by people whose first language is not English. For several years he has written teachers’ notes and compiled Lexile quizzes for Scholastic Australia.

Peter also worked for many years in the performing arts, as actor, writer and director. In addition to his TESOL qualifications, Peter has a BA (Hons) in English Literature from Sydney University and a Diploma in Education from Melbourne University. He completed the Diploma in Book Editing and Publishing at Macleay College (2005) and is also a member of the NSW Society of Editors.
